Get Up, Stand Up
Even in a southern state like Louisiana, September is generally thought to be the last month of summer. Given that sobering idea, we’ve decided to put together a few more gigs that involve getting up and having fun on your feet. First on our list is Downtown Baton Rouge’s very own Red Stick Farmers Market; something we are all going to sorely miss when cooler temps trickle down to this side of the states.
Every Saturday beginning early at 8 o’clock in the morning, at the corner of 5th & Main Street, you can pick out prime cuts of meat or fill your tote with fresh local produce. However, if what you want is a little more thump-in-your-step, then throw on your brightest fluorescents and join The Texas Club on September 30th for GlowRage, a unique glow-in-the-dark dance party that intends to keep you on your feet all night long.
